Nature-led experiences built around slowing down, reflection, and reconnection — starting with guided hikes, with more ways to experience the great outdoors than simply walking by it unnoticed.
Most of us spend our days indoors, on screens, moving through the same few rooms — and something in us goes quiet because of it. Longshadow Trails exists to put people back in nature on purpose: to slow down, notice something other than a notification, and remember what it feels like to be a body outside. We're starting small, with real hikes and real people, and building from there.
There was a stretch of my life when nothing else was working, and it was time outside that grounded me when I needed it most. Walking, being still under trees, noticing something bigger than my own burdens — it didn't fix everything, but it gave me somewhere quiet to stand while I figured the rest out, in a way I didn't expect and still can't fully explain.
Once I was steady again, I started noticing how many people around me were carrying that same weight, cut off from the one thing that had quietly saved me. Somewhere along the way, we — all of us — drifted further from the outdoors than we ever meant to, and because of this, something inside quietly dies little by little, each and every day. Longshadow Trails is my answer to that: a way to put people back in nature on purpose, walking alongside others who need the same thing I once did.
All outdoor offerings are weather dependent. If conditions aren't safe, we'll cancel and pick back up the following week as soon as the weather cooperates.
Small-group hikes for men who carry more than they let on. No agenda beyond good company, honest conversation, and a few hours where you don't have to hold it all together by yourself. First group hikes on us.
Outdoor art sessions for parents and kids to slow down and create side by side, surrounded by the woods rather than a classroom.
Slow-paced outdoor sessions for sketching, journaling, and developing a creative writing practice with the woods as the prompt — no art or writing experience required.
Casual evening gatherings at spots picked for a clear, open view of the sunset. Some spots are a short walk in, others you can settle into right away — either way, no pace to keep, just watching the sky do its thing together.
Open group hikes at a different location each time, for anyone who wants company on the trail and a shared moment in nature. Never hiked before? Nervous about heading out on your own? This is the easiest place to start — no experience required, and trail difficulty varies by location so you can pick what fits you. No circle, no agenda beyond good company — just people walking together and learning from each other.
Can't afford the full amount? No one is turned away for financial reasons. If money's tight, just let me know and we'll work out a price that fits — pay what you can.
Prices are subject to change.
